Topic Description (this will appear in the opt-in email and sign-up form for your engagement)

Finding the right co-founder who fits your company's values and mission is key for every startup but even more important for early-stage ones. Seed VCs and angel investors are founding their investment decisions mainly on the startup team. Use this conversation to find a trustworthy person, can handle responsibilities and takes risks reasonably. Even if not a co-founder, you can at least go out of the conversation with a good talent market research and potential candidates to fill in other job vacancies.

Areas of interest (participants will select 1-3 of these when they sign up for the conversation, and they will be matched with someone with similar interests)

  • Co-Founder Skillset (Product, Design, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Operations)

  • Level of commitment (40+ hours/week, 20-40 hours/week, or less)

  • Company field (B2B/Enterprise, Biotech, Fintech, Blockchain, Marketplace, AI)

  • Finding the right network

  • Negotiating co-founder agreement/equity

Discussion questions (these will appear as part of the agenda that is sent to participants the day before the conversation, and they are also listed in the calendar invite)

  • What business ideas have you realised or started working on? Have you worked and/or managed diverse teams and if so, how?

  • What motivates you to work on a startup?

  • If you had to come up with 3 words to describe the culture you want to create, what would they be?

  • Who do we think the first 5 hires will be?

  • What areas do you see yourself wanting to be a point-person on for the first 12-18 months?
