At Orbiit, we are committed to continuously enhancing your experience and providing tools that empower you to achieve even greater success.

Our latest release, the Match Editor, is designed to give you control over your Orbiit matches so you can fine-tune and customize your matches. This ensures that your matches are personalized and tailored to your specific criteria.

The feature is only available to Pro and Premium clients. We are happy to give you one-off access to test the match editor.

Get Started Today!

Match Editing is now live and available to you for your next Engagements. To start using this feature and elevate your matching experience, simply login to your account and explore the possibilities that Match Editing offers.

Enabling Match Editing and setting the Match Introduction Date

To configure your Engagement to use the Match Editor you need to toggle this on when setting your Engagement Schedule. After picking your registration window and email dates there is a toggle for Match Editing which will then prompt you to select a Match Introduction Date. This is the date that your matches will be introduced to each other by email. You have the time between the end of the Opt-In window and the evening before the Match Introduction Date to use the Match Editor.

During what period can I edit my Matches?

Once the Engagement Opt-In window has closed and the matches have been created, you can use the Match Editor to make changes to the matches that were provided by the Orbiit algorithm. The 'clock' symbol next to Matches will say how much time has left for matches to be edited.

The Match Editor will stop allowing further changes when one of the following happens:

  • The matches are introduced (this happens on the Match Introduction Date you selected when setting up the Engagement schedule).

  • When you have clicked the Confirm Matches button to indicate you are done with editing.

Editing a Match

Use the Match Editing interface to adjust your proposed matches once matches are generated. You can drag and drop members from a match to the Available pool on the right side of the screen which will dissolve a match.

Note: Do not leave a group 'lonely' (with 1 participant only) and click save. Instead, move all members from a match to the available pool and then create a new match

Check Members' availability before matching them

To check the availability of a Member in a Match you can click on the calendar icon in the top-right corner of the match. Ideally, you will match members who have availability overlap. If not, it's your responsibility as a Community Manager to let them know that they can reschedule their conversations.

Unmatched members in the Available pool

If you still have members in the Available pool (who are unmatched), this is mostly likely due to a lack of availability overlap or company block. In some cases, our engineers can take a look and force a match but you should provide us with the members you want to force a match between after looking into their opt-in forms. In case we can make a match despite having no availability overlap, it's the Community Manager's responsibility to inform the members of this match and invite them to reschedule their conversation.

View a Member's history

To view a Member's history of Opt-ins and Matches you can click the eye icon next to the Member in either the Match or the available pool.

Confirming your Matches

When you have made all your changes you can confirm the matches by clicking the Confirm Matches button in the top-right of your screen. This will disable any further edits and the matches will be introduced on the Match Introduction Date you selected when setting the schedule for the Engagement.

Note: Ensure matches are reviewed and edited before the introduction date. Matches will go live on the introduction date. Make sure you click 'Save' after any edits. In case you have not clicked 'confirmed' and the match editing date has passed, we will send introductions based on the last matches you 'SAVED'.

Resetting to Orbiit Matches

When you feel you want to reset your changes back to the original Matches that were provided by the Orbiit algorithm you can do so by clicking the icon in the top right and clicking Reset to original. This will delete all changes you made and set everything back to Orbiit's provided matches.

NOTE: This will also reset any saved changes you made in previously to the Matches for this Engagement. It does not only reset changes made in this session.

Key Benefits of Match Editing:

  • Precision Control: Easily edit and refine your matches to reflect the most accurate and relevant matches.

  • Time Savings: Streamline your workflow by making quick edits without complex workarounds.

  • Enhanced Matching Quality: Ensure the integrity of your matches by making real-time adjustments to your Orbiit proposed matches.
